The Rowan University Textbook Alternative Program (TAP), https://sites.rowan.edu/student-success/tap/index.htm, launched by the Rowan University Affordability Task Force, has two objectives, to raise awareness of the rising cost of course materials, and to collaborate with departments and faculty to reduce the cost of course materials. In the spring of 2017, the task force surveyed faculty regarding their use of, and interest in, alternative course materials. In 2018, the Affordability Task Force made five $2,000 grants available to faculty members seeking to redesign their teaching materials with the use of Open Educational Resources that would lower the cost of course materials for Rowan students
Rowan University’s Institutional Repository, Rowan Digital Works (RDW), https://rdw.rowan.edu/oer/, currently houses nine Rowan University faculty-authored Open Educational Resources will also be housing all future such OERs.
