The University Library provides information and promotion of OER, Scholarly Publishing, and Open Access. Since 2015 the Provost has provided financial support for an Affordable Course Material Initiative to help address the issue of high cost of textbooks. A grant is provided to faculty who commit to creating new teaching materials using publicly accessible materials and/or using subscribed resources (from the Libraries) or any combination. Faculty are provided a support team made up of instructional designers and librarians to assist with the redesign of the course materials.
