Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) is a two year college in Albany, Oregon. Lower division collegiate credits earned at LBCC may be transferred to any public university in Oregon. OER fall within one of the initiatives in LBCC's 2017-2022 strategic plan: greater affordability for all students. Since 2015 the Textbook Affordability Steering Committee has worked to reduce textbook costs by developing institutional best practice recommendations. LBCC provides grant funding to its faculty for the adoption and creation of OER. It's one of the first community colleges to host an open source institutional repository, CommunityArchive@LBCC. In Fall 2017, LBCC hired an OER & Textbook Affordability Librarian. In 2018, the librarians worked with OERCommons to harmonize the repository metadata standards to more easily distribute OER created at LBCC. LBCC estimates student savings from faculty adoptions of OER and other free resources. As of spring 2018, these adoptions saved students up to $2,815,062
