Overview

The central mechanism by which The Ohio State University supports open educational resources is the Affordable Learning Exchange (ALX). ALX was created to help instructors take ownership of their courses and content. ALX exists to help navigate the waters of affordable resources and find creative solutions that promote students savings. This includes re-imagining the textbook, encouraging faculty innovation, and empowering our faculty through grants and training opportunities to adopt, adapt, create and share open educational resources. The founding members of ALX are the Office of Distance Education and eLearning, University Libraries, University Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Office of Academic Affairs, and Undergraduate Student Government.
