Overview

The UTC Library supports OER through Affordable Course Materials Initiatives, including faculty grants to reduce the cost of materials for courses, including adoption, adaptation, and authoring of OER. Development and publication of OER is supported through publication support in UTC Scholar's Open Educational Resources series.

Affordable Course Materials Initiative

The ACMI seeks to improve educational outcomes by lowering the cost of course materials. UTC Library by working directly with faculty to swap costly required and supplemental course texts (textbooks, workbooks, course packs, or supplemental readings) with existing library electronic resources, open educational resources (OERs), open access scholarship and/or alternative educational resources.
