The mission of Pasadena City College is to provide a high quality, academically robust learning environment that encourages, supports and facilitates student learning and success.
Pasadena City College has a very active OER initiative facilitated by a committee made up of representatives from across the campus community: administration, faculty, classified staff, and students. The initiative supports faculty interested in bringing OER into their classroom through professional development opportunities and one-on-one support. The efforts of the committee has been supported through various grants offered in California: AB 798 grant supporting PD, and the "ZTC" degree grants (planning and implementation phases). Pasadena City College plans to have a ZTC degree offered in Social and Behavioral Sciences with others to follow.
